Ukraine 2024

Thanks: Thank you for praying for the recce mission to Ukraine, it has been an amazing thing to witness the Living God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords protecting us from bombs, drones and missiles. We are so grateful for your prayers as we traveled over 2,000 kilometers to the East of Ukraine to visit churches; the HQ of Baptist Union in Ukraine; and to pray for wounded soldiers in Military and Civilian Hospitals.

God's amazing protection: We left, by the Lord's grace, 3 hours before over 50 people were killed and 300 injured in the town where we were staying. We were warned by Air Raid Sirens to go into Safe Rooms and Shelters on 5 nights and heard the Ukrainian Army shooting down drones. We also heard and felt effects of explosions, just 2 miles away! We were at complete peace though, so much so that one team member snored his way through the time in the shelter. 'No worries' as the Air Raid App says once the raids have finished!

Potential Fruit from the Mission: We have been invited by the Volunteer Military Chaplain Co-Ordinator to run a Trauma Healing Conference in Western Ukraine for 25 Volunteer Chaplains and their wives. We also confirmed that MMI Representative in Ukraine who handed the work of Coordinator of Volunteer Chaplains and was keen to be involved too. This would enable a team to go into Ukraine via Hungary keeping it relatively safe for the Chaplains and the team. We have also been asked to do a Trauma Healing Conference for approximately 80 widows and mothers of fallen heroes from this latest war.

We are particularly pleased that the volunteer chaplains will be able to attend as many are Church leaders in in their own right and will then be able to take the teaching and ministry to their own churches.

Thank you to all who support Flame. This was an unusual recce mission for us going into a war zone, but by your prayers and your commitment to us, you brought us back safely and with a vison for much fruit in the future.
